He has encompassed his works with a vision of interdisciplinary cooperation and practical research, including working at leading companies (Skidmore & Owings, Merrill, office of architect Ngo Viet Thu), teaching at renowned universities (University of Washington, University of California, University of Architecture, and Vietnam National University), and providing strategic consultancy to local governments (Vietnam, Canada, and the United States). He has also engaged in planning, architectural and socio-cultural research projects and talked at international universities and conferences.
He has been member of the American Institute of Architects, American Planning Association, Vietnam Association of Architects (Board Member), Vietnam Planning Association, Asian Landscape Association (Executive Board Member), and Vietnam Green Building Council (Board Member). He received a doctorate degree from University of Washington, and a master degree from University of California at Berkeley.
Working and living in the United States, Canada, and Vietnam, he communicates fluently in English, French, and Vietnamese.
